Dr. Matthew Giles is a consultant in Acute General Medicine and Geriatric Medicine at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. He did registrar training in Geriatrics and General Medicine in the Oxford Region. He has done research with the Oxford Vascular Study into the epidemiology of vascular disease and early risk after TIA minor stroke. He was a co-author of the EXPRESS study and ABCD2 Score.

Currently he is consultant lead for Acute General Medicine at the John Radcliffe Hospital and Training Programme Director for Acute and General Medicine in the Oxford Deanery.
