Regional Education Programme – Kandy
The inaugural regional education programme was held at Teaching Hospital Kandy on 15th July 2016. This was well attended by over 120 doctors in the region. Approximately 50% were accommodated from regional peripheral hospitals and rest from three teaching hospitals in the region. (Kandy, Peradeniya, Sirimavo Childrens Hospital) Contributions towards academic programme were made by the regional members of SLSIM . The topics discussed at this session were Chest pain, Dyspnea, Hypertension, Syncope, Headache, Febrile thrombocytopenia, Diabetes, Dyslipidaemia and Elevated liver enzymes.
