‘Towards Excellence – Setting Clinical Standards in Medicine’ – Doctors’ Educational Program

The Sri Lanka College of Internal Medicine (SLCIM), in alignment with its 2025 theme “One Nation – One Standard – Achieving Excellence in Healthcare,” proudly concluded its island wide educational programme aimed at uplifting patient care standards across general medical units in Sri Lanka.

Titled “Towards Excellence – Setting Clinical Standards in Medicine,” the main session was held at the Clinical Medicine Academic & Research Centre (ClinMARC), National Hospital of Sri Lanka, on Thursday, 24th April 2025.

This central event in Colombo was live-streamed to over 100 satellite centres across the country, including Teaching Hospitals, District General Hospitals, and Base Hospitals, reaching more than 5,000 participating doctors.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated SLCIM members across the island whose unwavering support and active coordination were instrumental in the success of this initiative. We firmly believe that programmes of this nature will significantly enhance the clinical and practical knowledge of our doctors and contribute meaningfully to the promotion of standardized, high-quality patient care nationwide.
