Regional Education Programme - Jaffna

The Jaffna regional meeting was held on 22 ^nd of December 2016 at Medical Students Hostel Auditorium attended by around 100 participants mainly medical officers and Post Graduate trainees in and around the Jaffna Peninsula. Contributions towards the academic programme were made by Regional members of the SLSIM as well as Physicians from Jaffna University and University of Peradeniya. Wide areas in Internal Medicine were covered in the topics including Metabolic Syndrome, Hypertension, Insulin Therapy, Headache and Dyspnoea. The new developments in regional problematic areas such as snake bite and chronic kidney disease were also discussed by experts. New interactive session by two physicians was introduced for the first time at this programme.
